Product Information & Care

Last updated: July 28, 2026

At Bronze Home Decor, we want customers to have clear and useful information before choosing furniture, lighting, rugs, wall décor, and home accessories.

This page explains how product descriptions, dimensions, materials, colours, natural variations, installation requirements, and care information should be understood when shopping through BronzeHomeDecor.com.

Product Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to present product descriptions, specifications, materials, finishes, dimensions, and photographs as accurately as possible.

Product information may be supplied by manufacturers, production partners, or other authorized sources. We review and update this information where appropriate, but minor differences may occasionally occur between the website description and the delivered product.

Product names and descriptive terms are intended to help identify the design, style, finish, or intended use of an item. Decorative accessories shown in lifestyle photographs are not included unless they are specifically listed in the product description.

If a particular measurement, material, finish, electrical specification, or compatibility requirement is important to your purchase, please contact us before placing your order.

Product Images and Colours

We aim to display product colours and finishes as accurately as reasonably possible.

However, the appearance of a product may vary because of:

  • Screen and monitor settings
  • Device brightness and colour calibration
  • Photography and studio lighting
  • Natural and indoor lighting conditions
  • Differences between production batches
  • The natural characteristics of the material

For these reasons, we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on your screen will be an exact match to the delivered product.

Lifestyle photographs may also make products appear larger, smaller, lighter, or darker depending on the room, camera angle, and surrounding furnishings.

Dimensions and Measurements

Unless otherwise stated, product dimensions are approximate.

Small differences may occur because of manufacturing tolerances, hand-finishing, upholstery, padding, natural materials, or the way a product is measured.

Before ordering, customers should carefully review the listed:

  • Overall width, height, and depth
  • Seat height and seat depth, where applicable
  • Tabletop and base measurements
  • Lighting dimensions and hanging length
  • Product weight
  • Package dimensions
  • Assembly and installation requirements

Customers are responsible for confirming that the product will fit the intended space and can pass through all entrances, doorways, hallways, stairways, and elevators.

If exact measurements are essential for your project, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the information currently available.

Natural Wood

Wood is a natural material and may vary in grain, knots, texture, tone, and colour.

Different sections of the same product may absorb stains and finishes differently. Natural expansion, contraction, or slight movement may also occur as humidity and temperature change.

These characteristics are expected and do not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect.

To care for wood products:

  • Keep them away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight
  • Use coasters, placemats, and protective pads
  • Clean spills promptly with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and soaking the surface
  • Maintain a reasonably stable indoor temperature and humidity level

Marble and Natural Stone

Marble and natural stone are formed by nature and may vary in veining, colour, pattern, texture, mineral deposits, and surface movement.

No two stone pieces will be exactly identical. Small pits, fissures, markings, and variations in shading may be natural characteristics rather than damage.

Stone surfaces can be sensitive to acidic liquids, oils, heat, and abrasive cleaners.

To care for marble and natural stone:

  • Clean spills promptly
  • Use coasters, placemats, and heat-resistant pads
  • Avoid acidic, abrasive, or highly alkaline cleaners
  • Use cleaning products specifically intended for the type of stone
  • Do not place extremely hot objects directly on the surface

Leather and Upholstery

Leather is a natural material and may show variations in grain, texture, colour, natural markings, scars, or creasing.

These characteristics can help distinguish natural leather and are not necessarily defects.

Fabric and upholstered products may show minor differences in weave, texture, shade, or pattern placement. Fabric colours may also vary slightly between production batches.

To care for leather and upholstery:

  • Keep products away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources
  • Remove dust regularly using a soft cloth or suitable vacuum attachment
  • Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing them
  • Use only cleaning products suitable for the specific material
  • Test any cleaner on a small, hidden area first

Rugs and Textiles

Rugs and woven textiles may have slight variations in colour, weave, pile height, pattern alignment, and overall dimensions.

Some rugs may shed fibres when new. This can be normal and may reduce with regular, appropriate vacuuming.

Creases caused by packaging or shipping may gradually relax after the rug has been laid flat.

We recommend:

  • Using a suitable rug pad where appropriate
  • Rotating rugs periodically to encourage even wear
  • Following the care instructions supplied with the product
  • Using professional cleaning for delicate or natural-fibre rugs
  • Avoiding excessive moisture unless the rug is specifically designed for it

Glass, Ceramic and Handmade Products

Handmade glass, ceramic, metal, and decorative products may display small variations in shape, texture, glaze, surface finish, colour, or pattern.

Features such as small bubbles in hand-blown glass, minor glaze variations, visible tool marks, or slight asymmetry may be part of the production process and the individual character of the item.

These characteristics are not automatically considered defects unless they affect the safe or intended use of the product.

Metal and Surface Finishes

Metal finishes may vary slightly between products and production batches.

Brass, bronze, copper, and other living finishes may naturally darken, patinate, or change in appearance over time because of air, moisture, handling, and the surrounding environment.

Unless a product is specifically described as having a permanently sealed finish, these gradual changes may be part of the intended character of the material.

Use a soft cloth and a cleaner suitable for the specific finish. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals that may scratch or permanently alter the surface.

Lighting and Electrical Products

Before purchasing a lighting product, please review the available voltage, bulb type, socket type, wattage, mounting method, dimensions, and intended location.

Lighting products should only be used in the locations and conditions for which they are designed. Products intended for indoor use should not be installed outdoors or in wet locations unless specifically identified as suitable for those applications.

Before installation, confirm that the product specifications and approval markings are suitable for the destination and intended use.

Hardwired lighting should be installed by a qualified electrician or other appropriately licensed professional where required.

Customers and installers are responsible for:

  • Checking compatibility with the building’s electrical system
  • Following the supplied installation instructions
  • Using the correct bulb type and maximum wattage
  • Confirming that the mounting surface can support the product
  • Following applicable building and electrical requirements
  • Turning off the electrical supply before installation or maintenance

Do not install or use an electrical product if its wiring, plug, mounting parts, certification label, or other safety information appears damaged, missing, or unclear. Contact us before proceeding.

Damage caused by incorrect installation, incompatible electrical systems, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow the instructions is not covered by our limited warranty.

Assembly and Installation

Some furniture and home products require assembly or professional installation.

Please read all supplied instructions before beginning and confirm that all parts and hardware are present.

Products should be assembled on a clean, protected surface using the recommended tools. Do not force parts together or substitute hardware unless the instructions specifically permit it.

If a product appears damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, stop assembly or installation and contact us promptly.

Once a product has been installed, assembled, modified, or altered, it may no longer qualify for a change-of-mind return.

Furniture Stability and Safe Use

Furniture should be placed on a stable, level surface and used only for its intended purpose.

Tall, heavy, or climbable furniture should be securely anchored where anchoring hardware or instructions are supplied or where anchoring is appropriate for safe use.

Customers should:

  • Follow all assembly and anchoring instructions
  • Keep heavy objects in lower drawers or shelves where appropriate
  • Avoid allowing children to climb on furniture
  • Do not overload shelves, drawers, tables, or seating
  • Regularly check and tighten hardware when required

Professional assistance should be used where the customer is unsure about safe assembly, mounting, or anchoring.

General Product Care

Care requirements vary by material and product type. Always follow the instructions supplied with the product where those instructions differ from the general guidance on this page.

To help preserve your products:

  • Protect surfaces from moisture, excessive heat, and direct sunlight
  • Clean spills promptly
  • Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning products
  • Use suitable protective pads and coasters
  • Do not exceed stated weight or wattage limits
  • Inspect fittings, screws, cords, and mounting hardware periodically
  • Stop using a product if it becomes unstable, damaged, or unsafe

Showroom Samples and Online Products

Bronze Home Decor primarily operates online, and our Toronto store displays only a limited selection of the products available on our website.

A showroom sample may differ slightly from a newly produced item because of material variation, production updates, lighting, age, display conditions, or normal showroom handling.

If you would like to view a specific product or a similar item in-store, please contact us before visiting so we can confirm current availability.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery and before assembly or installation.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or different from what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at:

info@bronzehomedecor.com

Please include your order number and clear photographs of the product, affected area, original packaging, and shipping label.

Keep the product and original packaging until the claim has been reviewed. Once the issue is confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate solution and, where applicable, send a replacement product at no additional cost.

Natural Variation and Return Eligibility

A natural variation does not automatically mean that a product is damaged or defective.

However, an eligible unused product may still be returned under our 60-day change-of-mind return policy, provided it meets all return conditions.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping, and the original shipping charge is non-refundable.

All return requests must be approved by email before the product is sent back.

Two-Year Limited Warranty

Eligible products are covered by our two-year limited warranty beginning on the delivery date.

The warranty covers qualifying manufacturing and structural defects under normal residential use. It does not cover normal wear, natural material variation, incorrect care, accidental damage, improper installation, unauthorized modification, or unsuitable environmental conditions.

For complete warranty and return terms, please review our Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy.

Product Changes and Availability

Manufacturers and production partners may occasionally update product materials, components, packaging, construction, or specifications.

We may update product information when changes become known. If a significant change affects an order that has not yet been fulfilled, we will contact the customer where reasonably necessary.

Safety Notices and Recalls

If we become aware of a product safety notice, corrective action, or recall that may affect a customer’s order, we may use the available order contact information to provide relevant instructions.

Customers should stop using a product and contact us if they become aware of a safety concern, unusual electrical behaviour, instability, structural failure, overheating, smoke, or another potentially unsafe condition.

Your Consumer Rights

This Product Information & Care page does not exclude or limit any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Where a product is damaged, defective, unsafe, or materially different from its description, applicable consumer rights will continue to apply.
